Counting the Backgammon Checker
Never exposing your checker pieces or backgammon is where the skill of the game lies. You and your opponent get 15 checkers of the backgammon at the beginning of the game. The basic object of the game is to move around the backgammon checker of yours till you can finally it off the game board. As you persue this objective you need to keep a sharp eye on your opponent, to make sure that he/she does not end up making a swift move taking any of your checkers off the game board, or else you may find it very difficult to get them back on the backgammon board.
Also, once you have your backgammon checker taken off by that opponent of yours, you will need to begin form his/her home board. That too is not always easy. As you throw your dice, find out if it lands on such number were your opponent has not put and pieces, or has only put one lone checker. This way as you once again get to the board you would be able to remove some of his pieces.
Your objective should be to take off all your checkers falling the correct way. You should not have them removed by the rolls of the dice and your opponents strategic moves. Therefore, as you move swiftly removing each Backgammon Checker, do follow your opponents moves too. Try keeping a minimum of two backgammon checkers, at each of the points, so as to ensure that your opponent does not singularly remove any backgammon checker.
