Controlling the Stakes with Backgammon Money Management

When you play backgammon for stakes, backgammon money management allows you to choose how much you will put in the stake, so that it does not exceed your bankroll. The bankroll is the amount which you are willing to lose in a session. The budgeting process has two goals. It firstly ensures that your bankroll lasts through the session of the game or games. It also removes the anxiety associated with having to deal with money. Backgammon money management can also track your betting history, how many games you lost or won and how much money was involved in it.

Most backgammon games are played by more than two players. Three or more players play at the same board, competing for money or points. One player is the box, and the other players form a team with a captain. The box means the player who is in the most challenging position. Bets are placed on the cubes played in the course of the game the stakes are usually two to four points. When the stakes are higher, for instance 8 points, it is considered risky.

Using backgammon money management does not mean that there are no risks a bet is a bet. But the fact that the losses are controlled in backgammon money management, and you can track your wins, means you are in a safer environment; you can take the risks and still enjoy the game.
