More often than not, when people play blackjack they wager real money on their games. If you are unfamiliar with blackjack betting then there are a few things that you should know about placing a blackjack wager before you begin.

When you play blackjack in a casino you sit around a table. On the table there are circles marked and it is in these circles that you place your blackjack wager. Wagers are made in casino chips. Different tables have different minimum bets so you will have to find a table that suits your needs. When you play online blackjack the betting process is the same except that you can’t place your bet on a table, obviously. Instead your bet will be listed on your computer screen.

Different blackjack players have different levels of comfort when it comes to placing blackjack wagers. Some blackjack players are comfortable betting a lot of money while others like to keep it safe with minimum bets. The more you play and the more you win the more comfortable you will feel with placing larger bets.

Most of the time when you win at blackjack your blackjack wager will be paid even money, 1:1. However, if you win with blackjack you will be paid 3:2, unless the dealer has blackjack as well. When you and the dealer both have blackjack it is a draw, as it is whenever you tie with the dealer.
