The Greeks use the Backgammon board differently; they play three different games one after the other. The first game is called Portes, which is similar to the standard game that you know, but with a few variations. The next game is Plakoto; in this game, you cannot move a checker which has been hit, until the checker which hit it is moved from its position. The third one is Fevga, in which you block up as many spaces as you can. The Greek Backgammon has no cube.
