Enjoy the difference of no limit poker
Over the years and throughout the history of poker, many different poker variations
have emerged. Today, one can choose to play: poker, 3 card poker, Texas Hold'em poker,
Omaha hi-lo poker, 7 card stud poker, 5 card draw poker, to name but a few. And now, many
of these poker games can be played in their limit or no limit variations.
No limit poker is definitely a fun way of adding spice to a standard poker game as a
different betting structure is in place when playing the game that gives it new character.
In a lot of no limit variations there are a separate set of rules, but this only affects
the game in a minimal way, as the basis of the game of whichever poker one selects, pretty
much remains the same.
With no limit poker the fundamental differences are as follows: first, there is "no
limit" to the number of raises that can be made in any betting round. Second, all wagers
placed in this form of poker must be equivalent in monetary terms AT LEAST to the minimum
bring in, with the one exception of the case where a player is going all in. Third, all
raises have to be the same (or higher) than the previous wager placed except in the case
of an all-in wager.
Fourth (which is definitely a benefit in no limit poker), any bet made is not binding
until the chips have been released into the pot unless the player verbally stated
otherwise and should there be any kind of discrepancy, the verbal statement will take
priority. Fifth, any player who says "raise" can carry on putting chips into the pot with
more than one move. Sixth, any bet made with one chip with no verbal statement
accompanying it is seen as the full amount allowed.
There are other rules to be found with no limit poker, so a player should check out the
specifics of these, depending on which games and at which casino, he or she chooses to
play.
