Use GNU Backgammon to Analyze Backgammon Gamesgrid Matches
GNU Backgammon is a multipurpose backgammon computer application that is exceedingly popular. Its two major applications are playing backgammon games and analyzing backgammon gamesgrid matches. Analysis of matches using the GNU program enables novice and expert players alike to improve their backgammon game.
Backgammon gamesgrid matches need to be saved in a particular manner in GNU backgammon. The gamesgrid match has to be recorded while being played. It has then to be saved in the backgammon gamesgrid directory as a gamesgrid snowie match. The saved backgammon gamesgrid match has then to be opened using the GNU program. The backgammon game opens at the last move played. It has to be scrolled to the first move played, so that the entire backgammon gamesgrid match is analyzed by GNU Backgammon. In the "Analyze Menu" the "Analyze Match" option is selected. The GNU program then performs the analysis. This operation will take some time depending on the number of moves in the backgammon game.
The backgammon player is now ready to view the analysis of the backgammon gamesgrid match performed by GNU Backgammon. Two windows are required for this. One is the "Games Record" window and the other is the "Annotation" window. These windows have to be appropriately sized on the monitor so that both the board and the analysis are visible. The backgammon player can now scroll in the "Games Record" window to the backgammon move he wants to check out. The appropriate analysis will automatically be displayed in the "Annotation" window. By comparing the backgammon move that should have correctly been made with the move he actually made, the backgammon player can realize his mistake and learn from it.
